Carved Fire Helmet Shields and Radio Straps

Here's a few shots of recently made firefighter helmet shields and radio straps . The Shields look best on a leather New Yorker or Sam Houston, but will fit other makes and non leather helmets. The front is carved into a 13 - 14 oz heavy leather, then stitched to a 4 - 5 oz leather back. The shields are about 1/4 inch thick, give or take. Two solid brass Chicago screws provide extra support near the top of the shield.

Shields
